Bart Remes and his team
at Delft University of
Technology have developed the world’s smallest
drone autopilot system and decided to make it
open source so that everyone benefits from the
technology. The Lisa/S chip is a 1.9-gram sliver of
silicon that can be used in any type of drones.
Remes believes open source drone technology will
help improve agriculture and benefit search and
rescue operations.
